What's this UFO talk?

I'm seeing sporadic mentions of some USAF sightings of UFOs. Apparently even Barack Obama commented on it. Some people seem to be getting excited that this is significant.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

There was footage from the USN from a few years ago; they were tracking a "tic tac like" object and showed the HUD footage. Is that the one you are talking about?
